Or: can I pull up a live picture of that intersection right now? New York City runs two separate camera systems, and mixing them up is easy — one takes photos of violations, the other streams live views anyone can watch.

These exist so engineers — and the public — can see traffic conditions in real time. They are free to watch, refresh every few seconds, and do not issue tickets.
