Vehicles coming from the Manhattan side via 155th Street cross the Macombs Dam Bridge and feed onto the Deegan, and this camera position captures that confluence.

The Robert F. Kennedy Bridge (officially renamed from the Triboro in 2008 but still universally called the Triboro) is the intersection point where Manhattan, the Bronx, and Queens meet. The bridge's three legs connect:

The Major Deegan cameras at the Triboro connection show the traffic coming off the bridge's Bronx leg and merging onto the highway. During morning rush, this merge point receives volume from all three directions and is one of the Deegan's consistent congestion points.

Further north, the Grand Concourse area shows the residential Bronx at its most architecturally significant — the Art Deco apartment buildings that line the boulevard are visible from the highway's connection cameras.
