Tribeca is one of the quietest neighborhoods in lower Manhattan and one of the least understood from a hotel standpoint. Most visitors looking for Manhattan hotels default to Midtown, where the density of properties matches the tourist infrastructure around Times Square and Central Park. Tribeca has fewer options precisely because it's not a tourist neighborhood in the traditional sense. It's a residential and cultural district that happens to contain some of the most interesting small hotel properties in the city.

The rooms vary significantly in design, with each one different in some meaningful way, which is a characteristic of independently operated boutique properties that large chains can't replicate at scale.
