The camera at Grand Concourse and 161st Street is positioned at one of the most significant intersections in the Bronx, where the breadth of the Grand Concourse , it was modeled partly on the Champs-Élysées in Paris and is 180 feet wide at its broadest points , combines with the traffic generated by the stadium and the courthouse complex.

161st Street extends east and west from the Grand Concourse, connecting to the Macombs Dam Bridge (which crosses the Harlem River to upper Manhattan at 155th Street) and to the Jerome Avenue subway corridor on the west. On late evenings and early mornings, the Grand Concourse is one of the city's quieter camera feeds.
